ActuallyRedactPDF is designed with privacy as a core principle. We process your PDF documents entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

What We Collect

Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and name through our authentication provider (Clerk).

Payment Information: If you subscribe to Pro, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

Usage Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics to understand how our service is used. This includes page views and general usage patterns, but never document contents.

What We Don't Collect

Your Documents: PDF files are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. They are never uploaded to any server.

Document Contents: We have no access to the text, images, or any content within your PDFs.

Redaction Details: What you redact and why is your business, not ours.

Third-Party Services

Clerk: Handles authentication. See their privacy policy.

Stripe: Handles payments. See their privacy policy.

Vercel: Hosts our website and provides analytics. See their privacy policy.

Data Retention

Since we don't receive your documents, there's nothing to retain or delete. Account information is retained while your account is active. You can request account deletion at any time by contacting us.
